Cheer / Dance Team
Youth Cheerleading
Like the football teams we will be grade pure in forming our squads. The only exceptions
are if siblings need to cheer together or cheer for brothers’ football team. We will be purchasing new
uniforms. We will not order new poms as we will be using last years. The cost of a new uniform will be
approximately $130.00. This price includes uniform, briefs, and socks.
We will only have ONE uniform fitting. It will be at the Argyle Intermediate Cafeteria
Thursday, May 7th. The fitting for future 3rd and 4th graders will be 3:45– 5:00pm , future 5th and 6th graders
from 5:00 –6:30pm.
If you are unable to attend this fitting, please contact Laura Ammons prior to May. You will need to pay for the uniform at the time of the fitting. Scholarships are available if needed, please
contact Laura Ammons at 940-383-4496 for more information.
Cheer camp will be July 27th – July 30th , 1:00-4:00 for 3rd - 6th grades. The cost is $75.
You are not required to attend, but it is HIGHLY recommended. Cheers and chants that will be
used throughout the season will be taught at the camp. Come join the fun! Please register for camp online

safety training.
THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING FOR AYSA CHEERLEADING IS MAY 5th. THERE WILL
BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!
 
Drill Team
Attention Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Graders
This fall Argyle Youth Booster Club is offering a cool drill/dance/pep squad for
kindergarten thru third grade. The drill team will perform at the Argyle Elementary football games and they will
have some other exciting opportunities to perform in our community (fall festival, high school football game,
homecoming parade). The girls will have an opportunity to learn dance routines and cheerleading cheers & chants.
They will perform a dance routine at halftime and then be able to cheer along with the cheerleaders during the
third quarter. We will take into consideration their attention spans and learning abilities when designing the
routines. This is a great opportunity for the younger girls to show support for the Hilltop Elementary football
teams. Fun, Fun Fun!!!!!

Commitments for 2009
* Aug 10th - 14th 3:00pm -5:00pm Mandatory Mini Camp.
The dances and cheers will be taught during this time.
* Aug 17th, 19th, 27th 4:00pm –
5:30pm Practice.
All teams will practice together
* Sept. 3rd 3:00pm Practice .
All teams will practice together
* Aug 26th thru end of Oct 4:00pm –
5:30pm Practice once a week .
Planning on practice on Wednesdays.
* Perform at Football games on Sat. during football season, ending in October. Games are relaxed and fun.
* Dates Set Later Field night practice 8/26 or 9/2, Fall Festival, Homecoming Parade and High School Football Game Performance
