Baseball
The Argyle Youth Sports Association baseball program continues to grow as our community grows. We have more and more kids signing up each year. We have some great volunteer coaches whose goal is to help each and every kid learn the game of baseball, experience it, and get a chance to participate regardless of skill level.

Season:
Baseball practice usually starts in early March and the games start at the end of March. The season runs
through May.
Registration:
Registration usually begins in mid December and runs through January. You can find Registration Forms HERE. We also try and get registration forms to
the school to be handed out.
Draft / Coach Look:
All kids that sign up will make a team. There are no try outs for recreation leagues. We hold a mandatory
coach look where the boys run through some drills. This allows the coaches to put some names with faces.
The coaches then draft the players. This is the best way to ensure that the talent gets divided up as evenly
as possible. (This process does not apply to tee ball. We simply try to put friends/classmates together.)
Eligibility:
If you are eligible to attend Argyle ISD then you are eligible to play in AYSA sports.
Coaching:
If you are interested in coaching you can mark that section on the registration form. Coaches will be
selected by the baseball commissioner and the board.
Team Sponsorship:
If you are interested in sponsoring a team please let us know. There is a place on the registration form
for sponsorship. The fee is $300. If you own a business then you will be able to put the name of the
business on the back of the team’s jersey.
